The XXII Convegno Italiano di Ornitologia (Italian Ornithology Congress) ran from September 8 to 12, 2025, at the Complesso Studium 2000 in Lecce. CISO organized it with the Università del Salento, CNR IRET, LifeWatch Italy, and Or.Me.
Fabio Masci, who founded the company in 2017 and leads it, gave the company's talk in the Plenary Room. He spoke on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, the second day of the congress, at 2:20 p.m.
The talk was part of the symposium “Advancing Avian Research: Remote Surveillance Technologies for Bird Monitoring and Behavioral Studies.” It presented field results and was based on an abstract written with the company's data analysis team.
The ornithologists gathered in Lecce asked about the company's work in the field. Some of their questions concerned acquisition distance and species recognition. Others covered camera maintenance and the effect of the scenario on precision.
Members of the data analysis team also attended the congress. One of the team's biologists leads it, and the biologists check samples of the detections and review the reports that customers receive.
The congress program on the CISO website lists the symposium on remote surveillance technologies for bird monitoring. It gives the day, time, and room of each talk.
