We presented the paper on June 18, 2026, at the Wildlife Strike International Conference (Naples2026), which ENAC organized in Naples. The authors were Fabio Masci, who founded the company in 2017 and leads it, and the data analysis team.
The paper covered BCMS® (Bird Control Monitoring System) and the use of artificial intelligence to monitor and manage wildlife-associated risk. After the talk, attendees were shown a live installation at a European hub airport.
The talk took place at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 18, in Session 3, “Technologies, Detection & Global Risk Data.”
The conference dealt with managing the risk of wildlife strikes in aviation. It ran from June 17 to 19, 2026, at the Complesso Monumentale di Santa Maria la Nova.
GESAC supported the event, and the Bird Strike Committee Italy provided its scientific coordination. According to ENAC, the conference had about 180 participants.
Biologists in our data analysis team build species knowledge and validate samples of the detections. They also review the reports that go to customers. Our method began at a fighter wing of the Italian Air Force, where Fabio Masci ran flight safety.
Before Naples, in September 2025, we presented field results at the XXII Italian Ornithology Congress in Lecce.
ENAC's press release, in Italian, reports on the three days of the conference.
